Welcome to this meeting. It’s an intersection of worlds – of our world and all of your individual worlds. We think of it as a clearing in the forest, where we can get away from the “noise” (as Giora aptly described it last week), the noise of so-called reality. So come settle down and sit with us here as we offer our perspective. Even as the view from the top of the mountain is very different than the view from the valley floor, so our view is different from yours. We see some of the same things you see, but from a different angle. We see some things you think you cannot see, and in response to your questions, we describe those things to you, and then you begin to “see” them. So, as always, here is what we see.
If you’ve been trying this method or that method for creating more joy in your life and not succeeding, or if you’ve been looking for answers and not finding them, then we offer all of this as nothing less than the ultimate foundation upon which you can build anything you want. We will not, and never would, presume to ask you to give up on any of your beliefs, any part of your Story. Your Story, after all, defines you – no Story, no you, no existence. We will, however, be taking you to a place where you’ll be able to see which parts of that complex tapestry of beliefs and expectations of yours are no longer serving you, and helping you with some powerful processes you can use to make lasting changes.
All religions, spiritual philosophies and scientific enclaves, have their own Story. In this one’s world, (perhaps in yours also) many of those are incredibly detailed. Some are exclusionary. Some are contradictory. Most start from the very common base assumption that there’s a world “out there”, a time-based physical world that’s shared by everybody. That world seems so obviously real that, if you think about it at all, you might say that that assumption is unchallengeable. The problem with that is, for as long as you hold onto this so-called reality, you cannot logically answer the foundational questions about who you are and how it all works. In that shared One World, even the Law Of Attraction makes no sense at all.
The place we would choose to have you start from is Story-less. If it’s the first time you have come to this, it may take a while for you to get your mind around it all because it will turn upside down much of the way you think about things. It has taken this one and those leading this community quite a while to understand all of this and integrate it, and we are all still expanding here as this unfolds. We encourage you on this journey, and here’s our promise. Once you’ve arrived in this place of true understanding, you will be able to step with confidence in any direction you choose, and there will never again be a question about life (or anything else for that matter), you cannot answer.
What we call the Law Of Attraction is ..
By what you choose to believe and expect,
you attract into your experience,
unique to you,
moment by moment,
wanted or unwanted,
a version of you and your world that matches those choices.
The Law Of Attraction is of course an Absolute principle of everything that exists, and as you know, we focus a lot on the Absolutes. Is it important for you to know about things at this fundamental level? Well only you can answer that. If your beliefs about life are serving you well, then all we could possibly add to your Story would be to simply say, choose to be positive. The Law Of Attraction, you see, applies no matter what Story you have chosen. You can’t “use” it because it’s like gravity. You cannot not use it. If you always reach for that better feeling thought, you’ll do very well in this game of Life On Earth. It’s just that there are those of you who want to really know how things work so that you can confidently create more of what you want.
And so here we are this week talking once again about how you create what you want, and in particular, what holds you back. Let’s start with some Absolute facts:
1. You, and you alone, choose what to believe and expect.
2. Then you practice those choices into your subconscious tapestry of expectations.
3. Your vibrational point of attraction is defined by that tapestry and nothing else.
4. Everything you ever experience, physical or non-physical, matches that vibration.
5. Therefore, what you and you alone choose to believe and expect, creates everything you experience.
Can you see therefore, to create new things, you simply make new choices and then do what you’ve always done – practice them until they replace the old choices. Now we use the word “simply: here because the process really is simple and straightforward, and if you’ve been following us for a while, you already know these principles. Simple it is, and yet it may still not be “easy”. So here we are with our take on why you might be failing, and some practical tips and techniques you may find useful.
We’ll begin with .. the #1 reason you fail is ,, you’re fixated on reality. Despite what we say about your past having no power to affect your present or your future, it’s that reality obsession you have that has you locked on that track that’s going where it’s always gone and with what seems like little opportunity to change things.
This world of yours, this you and the context around you, all of this is uniquely your creation. It’s not a shared One World “out there”. It’s Your World. It’s a movie playing in your mind. It’s all an inside job, and it’s a moment by moment creation. In that world of course you are intersecting with matching versions of other people and their worlds, and those intersections merge into what your senses tell you is a continuous One World. But this world of yours is simply the stage upon which you choose to have your experiences. Remember that you are a consciousness. Your thoughts are real. Your experiences are real. It is your reality that is virtual.
How is it then that it seems so real? This context of yours is always going to be the most real place you can be, because it’s your twin. It exactly matches you. As you make a new choice and thereby step into a new version of you, you are always going to inherently sense that this new matching context wrapping itself around you, is more “real” than any other. The important message here is .. just because your always-current context seems so real, doesn’t mean you can’t consciously and deliberately change it. Don’t let the seeming real-ness fool you.
There’s nothing you cannot be, do or have, but the status quo will prevail until you make a new decision, and practice that new belief-choice until it replaces in your subconscious, the old belief choice that sits there. You do that by imagining what you want and getting into eager anticipation. The extent to which you can make that imagined place real in your conscious mind and then your subconscious mind, is the extent to which you step into the new version of you that matches that vision. That’s called allowing. That’s called alignment. That’s what brings about manifestation.
To understand misalignment, pick something you use a lot, like a wastepaper basket, and try moving it. Consciously you know the new location, but as you’ll quickly discover, your subconscious only knows the old one. And until you have taught it over a period of time, no that’s the wrong way, it’s over there now, it continues to know that old location. Well “allowing” means getting agreement on what is known and expected into all levels of your consciousness. It starts with the conscious thinking you, and, with a little focus and attention, spreads to the subconscious/superconscious you. When you are aligned, manifestation is immediate. Then, like the world you woke up into this morning, things just show up.
Let’s really understand what’s going on in that enormously capable and powerful part of you that we’re loosely calling your subconscious. It knows everything you ever taught it and trained it to do. It talks you and it walks you. It holds your tapestry of expectations and therefore it creates Your World. And get this – not only does it make most of your decisions, it also decides when it doesn’t have the answer, and needs to check back with you for a conscious decision. So here’s what’s needed. You need to retrain it with new things to “know”, and you also need to retrain it to check back with you on a whole range of things it’s used to automatically taking care of.
So here’s the important question. How much time do you spend each day, simply operating as if the world is “out there” and you’re dealing with it as it is, versus how much time you spend with an ongoing resident awareness that that world is inside you? As we talked about last week, if you’re not practicing new creative thoughts, then you’re in that moment practicing old creative thoughts, which means you’re practicing status quo. In other words, if you’re not operating from that place of awareness, you’re reinforcing the old habits of belief. If most (or all) of your time is spent practicing status quo, that’s what you’re going to manifest.
Can you see that knowing that you’re in charge is a very powerful starting place? And are you beginning to see that why it is we are encouraging you to loosen your grip on that so-called reality? Do you get why we’re suggesting you live life with that prefix ahead of everything? “In this world that I am creating” .. and then follows every declaration about what’s “real”. And for good measure you could add a suffix .. “ and I can change any of it by making a new choice”. As with your wastepaper basket, each time you get it wrong, and correct yourself, you’re retraining your subconscious, and over time, you’re changing your tapestry, and therefore your “reality”.
“In this world that I am creating,” .. person X in my life has been showing up as objectionable and disagreeable, “but because I can change any of it by making a new choice and I am now choosing this”, I’m going to be intersecting in future with the supporting and loving version of them.
In this world that I am creating,” .. I’ve been working and struggling to make ends meet, “but because I can change any of it by making a new choice and I am now choosing this”, I’m looking forward to the delicious serendipity of things flowing to me in a powerful abundant stream.
In this world that I am creating,” .. I’ve got this or that thing physically going wrong, “but because I can change any of it by making a new choice and I am now choosing this”, I’m stepping more and more each day into a vibrant, and healthy, and ageless body.
Each time you do that, it makes a difference. Each time you do that you lessen your grip on so-called reality, and therefore by definition, it releases its grip on you. Each time you do that you step more and more into the awareness of who you are. And here’s the important part .. that awareness spreads inevitably and inexorably to your subconscious, to that automatic core part of you. With focus and commitment, it becomes all of you, and you become a master at this game of Life On Earth.
Meditation is good – it takes you away from so called reality. These conscious processes we propose are good for directly confronting who you are. Find what works for you, and just do it. Practice .. practice .. practice. The #1 reason you fail is ,, your fixation on reality. Make a decision to change all of that. And of course, it’s not the words you use. They can help, but it’s your thoughts that create.
The truth, you see, about who you are is not complex. As you might expect, there’s a divine simplicity at the core of all of this. We know that it’s not necessarily easy to integrate all of this this when you’ve spent a lifetime thinking of the world as something you have to live in and deal with, but we suggest you begin now to step confidently into this new way of thinking. Try it on like a new set of clothes. Get used to being in this place. It’s the doorway to Peace and Power, Fun and Freedom. And as always, we are here to support you and answer your questions.
