Chapter 9 – Questions & Answers – When Disaster Looms, How Can I Expect Good Things?

We know it is easier to observe and it is easier to form a perception around what you’re observing but remember that what creating is, is molding your perception. What trips [you] up is [that] most of you have this affliction that says ‘I must tell it like it is. I should not pretend that something is other than it is. .. I’m not going to do anything about moving my thoughts in more satisfying ways. I’m just going to think about whatever I want and let the Law Of Attraction make all the adjustments.’ [Well] you’re not going to ever be the exception to the Law Of Attraction. You just don’t have a choice. You have no choice.. The only choice that you have is to find some way .. to a path of lesser resistance.

In our words, without exception, what you are attracting into your experience is a world that matches what you have chosen to believe about it. If you wish to change your world, the simple truth is, you must change those beliefs of yours. You have no choice. But when you’ve managed to create a disaster or two, and in this game of Life On Earth, you all seem to create a few of those, that disaster looms front and center in your perceptions, and it’s not so easy to immediately change the screenplay of the movie. But you can, and today we’re going to explore how you can talk yourself off the ledge, and regain control of your story. Get comfortable and get ready because we’ll be practicing a lot of visualization.

We’re going to reaffirm as we always do the facts of life. We’re going to talk about always being compassionate with yourself. We’re going to talk about techniques that help. We’re going to talk about guided visualizations you can use. We’re going to talk about making different choices. And while we’re going to have you focus away from “how”s and towards where you want to be, we’re also going to have you recognize that every small choice to a better feeling thought causes a shift in The Force, and those differences add up to different outcomes. If you commit to thought-actions that make sense, and couple that with a little positive dreaming about what you want, the good stuff WILL show up.

Today we’ll cover the essential truth behind each of these ideas. Then we’ll give you a mantra for each of them. We encourage you to follow along with us and practice these thoughts to yourself here today. Then we’ll have our friends here put all of these into a new guided awareness audio which we’ll make available for Member download. It will be about a 10 minute audio and you could use it daily, or twice daily, or ten times daily. Repetition is good because you’re practicing a new way of thinking, and practice creates new habits of thought, and what you are, and what you experience, is simply the sum of your thought-habits. New habits create a new you with a new matching world around you.

This one often runs his guided awareness audios on an endless repeating loop. Sometimes first time through he’ll go through the whole audio and hardly follow along at all. Then the next time through he’ll pick up on some parts of it, and then the next time through he’ll pick up on more of it, and then more and more. Sometimes he’ll start with just some relaxing music and then switch to the words. Sometimes he’ll switch back and forth. Do whatever feels good, and if you can’t feel good right there and then, do whatever you think might get you to a better feeling place, because even a slightly better feeling place can open you up to an even better feeling place, and the better it gets, the better it gets.

Let’s begin with an introduction that sets the intention and encourages you to go easy on yourself. Even If you’re in a place that’s not so good right now, give yourself a break. The very fact that you’ve made the commitment to make a change is a powerful decision. Always remember that your natural state is well-being and like a cork being held under the water, when you release resistance, it bobs right to the surface. If you’re facing the facts, and you’re feeling bad, you’re in resistance. Being “realistic” is being resistant. This is all about releasing resistance and facing the truth, and as you do more of that, awareness of truth begins to permeate you at all levels within you.

Here’s the mantra. We’ll do these fairly quickly and then we’ll gather all these pieces and do a slower total repeat at the end. Follow along with us here.

Each day as I’m speaking these words to myself, I’m allowing myself right now to know the truth of them. As I practice acknowledging who I am, I’m accepting it at all levels within me. I treat myself with enormous generosity of spirit, and even as my mind wanders through many different rooms, I return always to this core intention – to know myself as I truly am. Each moment of conscious awareness I spend acknowledging the truth of who I am, enrolls my subconscious self as a powerful partner in this new game we are playing together.

Good. Now let’s reaffirm the facts of life. From those Abraham words – what creating is, is molding your perception. In other words, you are the creator of everything you experience. What you perceive is not some external reality you have to live with because what you choose to believe, creates reality. Here’s the mantra.

I’m a consciousness that is part of the Collective Consciousness of Source. Source is a river, and I’m a tributary that feeds into and flows from that river. I’m a part of the endless stream that is God. This is the ultimate truth of who I am. This is the only thing that’s fundamentally true about me in all realms across a timeless Universe. This is the only thing that I am and can ever be, and yet it is everything. With these words I experience my connection and my oneness with infinity. I am allowing myself right now to be aware of who I am. I’m learning to dance with the gods as the equal of all beings, because that’s what I am. I’m learning to be me.

I exist as a thought. What I choose to think creates me and my worlds. Everything is as I choose it to be. My desires and intentions, and my chosen beliefs and expectations, shape the individuation that is me, and the context that surrounds me is a mirror of those beliefs and expectations. I exist as a thought, and everything that exists around me, exists as a thought. It is my thoughts that create the physical me in this physical world, with all of its actions and sequences, and beginnings and ends, and time that marches on. And so even as I acknowledge that I am an action-oriented being in an action-oriented world, I also acknowledge that what shapes my existence is simply my thoughts.

Good. Now let’s clear the decks a little. If there’s something pressing in in your thoughts, allow yourself to be in this present moment right now and give yourself a small oasis here. In this space you can let those old thoughts go. Collect them up and dismiss them, and reaffirm your commitment to truth. Then step through that door from a gray world into that new one of vibrant color. Allow yourself to be in the world as you want it to be. Here’s the mantra.

Each day I’m raising the bar .. because I expect more from this game of Life On Earth. I’ve committed to myself to move beyond the status quo to engage more creatively and more joyfully in this adventure I’ve stepped into.
I’m wanting more and more to feel good, because that’s how it feels when I drop those old limiting beliefs of mine. I’m letting go of that baggage. I’m moving beyond old habits, and into excitement, and then into power, and then into ecstasy.

I’m living today, and from this day forward, within the question .. How do I feel? And What do I want now. These questions are becoming part of our ongoing and ever-present awareness.
I’m beginning to know at all levels within me what is truly “real”. If I step into a hole, I see more and more clearly the steps that lead up, and out, and forward, and I shine my light and I take those steps into peace, and fun, and freedom, and adventure.

Good. Now let’s acknowledge that every small step counts, because as you acknowledge that, you set yourself up to expect a shift. And here’s an important point. Remember that you’re time-less. You don’t have to try and imagine life without time, but it’s good to know that even if as you hear these words about making a difference, if it seems like you can’t feel the difference, still encourage yourself. Allow yourself to anticipate change even right there and then, and that change and that difference will exist, and you will begin to feel it. Here’s the mantra.

Every time I choose a different thought, it makes a difference. Each small choice, each deliberately different thought, creates movement in the fabric of my existence, and as I BE here and now in this place of playing with new thoughts, I can feel within me that I am now different than I was just a moment ago. Each new thought makes a huge difference. This new thought right now has made a difference. I feel within me the power of that new thought. I see stretching before me a world that has shifted, and I can feel myself emerging into that new version of me and my world.

Everything can change in an instant, and I know that my Story changes as soon as I let go of all resistance. Resistance is a part of my old Story. This is my new Story. As I practice here and now this awareness of me and my power, I know that ABnormal is my TRUE-normal. There is nothing I cannot be, do or have. There is nothing I cannot change. This is my new Story, my true Story. It’s my new, true Story, and I’m letting it sink in right to the very core of me. I’m learning to be me.

Good.
Now we’re going to go through all that visualization again. It’s practice. And it’s practicing the truth, not that old reality myth. Here’s the key ideas.
1. If you believe reality, you reinforce it. A new belief-choice creates a new reality.
2. The present is all there is. Be in the present.
3. If bad ideas are hovering, gather them up and let them go.
4. Treat yourself with enormous compassion.
5. “How” is not your job. Focus on “What Feels Good” and doors will appear.
6. Every small choice of a better feeling thought causes a shift in reality.
7. Creation is moment by moment. Everything can change in an instant
8. You’re natural state is well-being. When you drop resistance, you float.

Know the truth and the truth will set you free.
